You just moved in to your place and to celebrate you want to host a house warming party this weekend. After going to the groceries and tidying up you realize you can’t even watch the big game This suddenly jumps up your list because you know how important televised sports are in the Philippines. An affordable television is what you need and you need it fast. So, where do you even start to look and how do you know which one to buy. These days Television sets can tend to be confusing with all the jargons and the specifications. For someone who’s looking for the best bang for your buck just focus on these few and you’ll be happy with your new set.

Size

It all depends on where you are planning to put it, the bedroom or your living room and how much space is allowed. First rule of thumb is to maximize all the room you can. Buying a television is not like buying a smartphone or a toaster, this is an appliance that will last you for a long time. Make sure you will make the most of this purchase because it’s not every year that you will buy a television plus it is something not only you will enjoy but everyone who comes by your house. As long as it is within your budget, buying the bigger option will always be more worth it.

Resolution

Nowadays resolution of television sets are one of the most defining factors, the media and market has built up the expectations or consumers. Now consumers are being very particular with resolution because of sharpness, brightness and depth. Now the two biggest types of resolution is your more familiar HDTV and the new 4K resolutions. If it comes to typical streaming or cable provider there is not much difference between the two resolutions especially since there is not much 4K media out there. If you want to make a play for the future investing in a 4K television might be your move but you can’t truly appreciate the beauty of a 4K television set until providers and online content all streams in 4K as well.

Don’t Get Distracted by Gimmicks

Brands will try to confuse you with as many jargons as they could just to convince you that they’re giving you the better option. Smart TVs are almost a norm, all companies have incorporated this technology to their television line so don’t get too excited by this. Curve shaped TVs are also another gimmick that is sweeping the television market but in all fact curving the TV does not affect the quality of the image or the viewing experience in anyway. Do not get fooled by the sound that it already comes with, yes it makes a difference but not as much as they price it to be. It’s better for you not to consider the speakers and invest in a separate sound bar that will be much better than any TV speaker can be.

These are the basic factors to keep in mind when choosing your best friend in the house. Make sure not to get distracted by empty gimmicks and perks, always keep your budget in mind. Make sure it fits in your room and you’ll be a regular host for viewing parties with your friends.
