Things you require
  • Tweezers
  • Wire cutters
  • 18 gauge bare copper wire
  • Rosin core solder
  • Soldering sponge
  • 35 watt soldering pencil or iron
  • Fine grit emery cloth
  • Razor knife
  • Nonconductive epoxy
  • Digital multi meter
Steps
  • Start with mixing the epoxy in accordance with the instructions given by the manufacturer. Follow with applying in aptly to one side of the printed circuit board.
  • Now you require pressing the two halves of the broken board together. Follow with holding them till the epoxy takes holds. It may take just a few seconds but as a caution it is advisable to wait for half an hour before you proceed to the next step.
  • In the next step you require using a razor knife for cutting through broken copper traces.
  • You require removing the entire loose traces and carefully utilize the emery cloth for sanding the traces.
  • In the next step of industrial PC repair, you require plugging the soldering pencil in the 110 volt receptacle. Follow up with waiting for it to get hold.
  • Now you require applying a fresh tinning coat of rosin core solder for cleaning soldering pencil tip.
  • Follow up with applying the rosin core solder to the copper traces of the PCB that are left bared.
  • Now you require cutting pieces of the 18 gauge copper wire. Make sure it is long enough for spanning the cut traces.
  • In the final step you require picking up a tinned wire piece using the tweezers and laying it carefully across one of the traces wherein you have remove the loose section. You need touching the soldering tips of the pencil to the top of the wire till it fuses to the copper trace on the board. Make sure to repeat the process for the remaining wires as well.
