MAT ADMIT CARD AND OTHER UPDATES

The computer-based test for MAT is scheduled to be held on December 17,2016. The schedule and other matters relating to MAT are administered by AIMA. The admit cards for the exam would be made available from 3rd December 2016 onwards.

MAT admit card is a compulsory document required to be carried to the examination premises. It is equally important for the candidates to take a printout of the admit card. In case of any errors on the admit card, it is important to notify AIMA and get it rectified accordingly.

Separate admit cards would be issued to the candidates according to the mode of the exam that they have chosen. The card usually contains the following details:

Candidate’s number

Roll number

Form Number

Exam Date

Exam venue

Exam timings

A photo ID proof is required to be carried by the candidate to the exam center. Electronic gadgets such as mobile phone, calculator, smart watches are prohibited. AIMA would be conducting the exam across 60 centers all over India but the venues for the offline and online examination would be different. This would be the last window for the year 2016 beyond which with the start of the new year would have the exam in its window in the month of February.

MAT exam is held for about 2 and a half hours. The test covers 200 questions in about 150 minutes. Th aspirant would be tested in the following areas: Language, data analysis and sufficiency, mathematical skills, intelligence and critical reasoning.

The tips for MAT 2016 preparation are as follows:

  • Reading comprehension passages are required to be practiced 4-5 times on a daily basis.
  • All the rules of grammar are required to be understood and practiced regularly.
  • For the math section, about 20-25 questions are required to be practiced everyday and emphasis required to be particularly placed on algebra and arithmetic questions usually common in the MAT exam pattern.
  • An effort needs also to be put in improving one’s general knowledge by reading a newspaper and a good monthly magazine. This would easily help one in building their MAT score.
