Things to keep in mind while visiting a water park
Posted: Dec 15, 2016
Water parks are a great place to escape to beat the screeching summer heat and have loads of fun. However there are few things you need to keep in mind while visiting a water park.
Description:
1. Prepare for your visit to the water park.
Wear your bathing suit under your apparel, or entice your bathing suit along. Bring sun block, lip balm, cash, towels, and apparels for the wrap up of the day. If you have long hair, you could also bring a hairbrush or hair bands. Also, feel free to bring along pairs sandals or flip flops!
2. Find a locker room to keep all your belongings safely.
Most Water Parks have a locker/changing room to store your belongings in and get changed. It's best to use them instead of carrying them along with you for the whole time. In the locker room you can get changed on your swim suit and dab on some sunscreen.
3. Plan on which rides to go first and try to avoid long ques.
It may be helpful to get a map so that you can hit all the rides in one area and then move on to the next. Walking and waiting takes a lot of time, so you want to minimize it as much as possible.
4. Keep yourself hydrated throughout the day
Remember the heat and water activities may get you dehydrated so keep in mind to keep drinking water every now and then to keep yourself hydrated.
5. Try to eat during the busiest time of day.
Around noon, the water park might start to get very crowded. This is a good time to eat and rest for a while before you decide to go for the second round so that you don't spend hours in line and keep waiting.
6. Try and relax yourself in between the water rides
Visit the wave pool, sit back and relax. This is a nice way to relax you a bit and help you regain your energy that you have probably used up in the other water park activities and also helps you in taking a break from really long lines.
7. Get yourself a small tube bag.
It might get difficult to carry things around when you're going on rides. Buy a small tube that hangs on your wrist or neck and store lip balm, sun screen and water ever you need, for your convenience.
