Wooden chairs are something we use almost every day. Over the time, a chair starts wobbling because of movement of joints. When a chair starts to wobble, it's time to repair it! First, you'll need few tools and some materials:

1. Adhesive (white or yellow wood adhesive, Titebond brand is a good glue) 2. A brush (one inch China bristle brush is cheap enough to throw out once you finish) 3. Four to ten clamps ( you will need steel clamps with wood handles and cast heads with an aptitude of 30" and a throat depth of 3"). 4. A cotton cloth (1 cotton cloth moist with water to remove the excess of adhesive dripping from the joint while under pressure). 5. Masking tape and tip marker.6. A very sharp wooden chisel.

To Repair A Wooden Chair Properly, You Need To Give Attention To Every Chair Component.- Disassemble all the wobbling joints of the chair with a rubber hammer carefully without breaking any piece. - Put a unique number on all the parts using masking tape, so you know how to put all parts back together once you are finished. - Make use of a very sharp wooden chisel to get rid of the old adhesive on the joints. The wood needs to be very neat to get a solid bond. - Use a dry fitting, use all the clamps required to tighten the chair. Use protecting pads on clamps to guard the work-piece. - If all the things feel good, apply white or yellow adhesive to all the joints using a brush and tighten up the chair with steel clamps. - Clean off the adhesive dripping from the joints with a moist cloth. - Don’t use the chair for next 24 hours under pressure. - After 24 hours, take out the clamps and do a touch up finish if necessary.

What is Wood Touch up Markers Technique?Touch up markers by Minwax and Guardian can be bought at most paint stores. These markers are alike Magic Markers but these markers are filled with furniture ink instead of ink. Like Magic Markers, touch up markers has wide applicator tips. Mostly, these tips are broader than a scratch, and tend to make scratches more visible rather than less.

To put these markers to the best use, wipe the marker along the scratch until a scratch is filled with color. This practice will diminish the scratch and not go to ruin your furniture. These three practices will allow you to make good repairs to most of the scratches on your wooden furniture. You will still be able to find that scratch but your guests most likely won’t notice.
