Allergies are very irritating. You feel tired the day long and lose your mental peace. In recent times, the occurrence of allergic coughing has increased a lot. Maybe, our changing lifestyle is at fault. There are a number of things which might cause allergies in men. When it comes to allergic cough, the most common allergens are as follows:

1. Dust

You might acquire allergic cough while dusting your home. Dust contained mites which cause itching reaction in the throat cavity. This is the reason why you should always avoid going out in dusty weather. While dusting your home, you must always keep your mouth covered with a cloth.

2. Smoke

Another common allergen is the smoke you encounter both indoor and outdoor. Like dust, you need to avoid close encounter with smoke.

3. Inhalants

Sometimes, chemical inhalants might cause allergic reactions in the throat. It becomes very difficult to stay away from chemical inhalants such as deodorants, insecticide spray etc. So, we would suggest you to use such items only which do not contain ingredients allergic to you.

4. Food

There are a few food items which might cause allergic reactions in humans. However, the food items which cause allergies vary from person to person. So, you need to find out which are the specific food items you have problem with, and avoid those items at all cost.

5. Pollution

Nowadays, the most common cause of allergic reactions is air pollution. It is rapidly becoming a global problem. You must take personal measures to avoid contact with air pollutants as much as you can.

The most unfortunate thing about allergic cough is that once you acquire an allergy, it is not possible to completely get rid of it. However, it can be controlled to a significant extent. So, it can be said that the best treatment of allergic cough lies in is its prevention. Besides, many people claim that physical therapies such as acupressure and Yoga help in treating allergic cough. Although it has not been proven, but you can definitely try those along with your prescribed medicine.

If you find the symptoms of allergic coughing developing in you, do not delay and immediately visit a good physician. You should also protect yourself from dust and smoke. You would also need to identify the food items which are allergic to you and stop consuming those completely. You should also keep yourself hydrated all the time. Besides water, start taking different types of fluids such as fruit juices at periodic intervals. You should also maintain a consistent temperature in your surroundings. Many people do the mistake of taking sleeping pills to cope up with the irritation caused the allergy. But, according to physicians, that might be harmful to you. So, you need to try sleeping naturally.
