Step 1: First thing you will need to download AVG Internet Security software from the AVG website and save it at your desktop.

Step 2: Double click on the downloaded file and make sure to select standard installation.

Step 3: Click on Next button until the installation is complete. When the first screen appears, there you will want to select the Check for Updates button.

Step 4: Click on the Internet button to check for updates.

Step 5: Since you have recently installed AVG, it is likely that atleast one update will be available.

Step 6: Once the update is finished, click on OK button to continue.

Step 7: Now the main screen of AVG Internet Security will appear on your screen.

Step 8: Click on Scan computer button and the scanning of the whole pc will begin.

Step 9: Once the scan is complete it will show the report of scanned results. Some threats will be removed and some might be shifted to the vault.

Step 10: Open the menu option

Step 11: Select Virus Vault.

Step 12: Select the file which you want to restore/delete permanently.

Step 13: Click on details (if needed), to see more information about the removed threat.

Step 14: Close the interface and now you are safe.
