Situated at an altitude of 1600 m in the Western Ghats, Munnar is the most charming hill station in Kerala and also one of the best summer getaways in India. Also called as the Swiss of South India, Munnar was once the summer resort of the British Governors of South India and also one of the best weekend getaways from Kochi. Photo Point, popularly known as Shooting Point, is a beautiful view point on Mattupetty road in Munnar. Dense tea plantations, woods, small rivulets and undulating hills make this spot ideal for photography. Mattupetty Dam
Mattupetty Dam is a concrete gravity dam located on Munnar - Top Station Highway in Munnar, Kerala. This is one of the popular places to visit in Munnar and also one of the top places most commonly represented for Munnar Tourism. The dam is surrounded by wooded hills and tea plantations, makes a great view. A speed boat ride in the waters of Mattupetty Lake is also a memorable experience. Mattupetty is also famous for its highly specialized dairy farm, an Indo-Swiss project or Livestock project.

Kundala Lake

The lake is formed by Kundala artificial dam or Sethuparvati Dam and is considered to be Asia’s first arch dam. Top Station
Top Station is a breathtaking place situated on Kerala - Tamilnadu boarder. From here, one can get the panoramic view of the Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. This is one of the popular Munnar attractions and also a popular trail for trekking in Munnar. Top Station got its name from the fact that it was the uppermost railway station located in the Kundala Valley in Kerala. Besides scenic views, this place is also famous for the Neelakurinji flowers, which blooms once in twelve years (next flowering year is 2018).
Eravikulam National Park
Eravikulam National Park is a national park located along the Western Ghats in the Idukki district of Kerala. Spread across an area of 97 Sq. km, it is the first national park in Kerala and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The National Park is home to the largest population of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. It also plays host to tigers, leopards, sloth bear, wild boar, 120 species of avifauna, a rare collection of trees, and shrubs amongst other wildlife.
Anamudi Peak
