The other day I was working at the office when we suffered a power breakdown. Apparently, a thunderstorm near the source of the electric supply impacted the transmitters and the whole area was in blackout. Everything was pretty chaotic as our PCs switched off, the office was pitch black and the air conditioning went down. I work for a company that deals with the stock market so it is absolutely necessary that we stay online at all times, and take the tiniest of changes into account. So it was unfortunate that the electricity and mobile signals went down at a time that was very crucial and a lot of activity was going on. It took around 20 minutes for the backup to start working and even when it did, the internet was still down. Even our mobile signal was impacted, we could not receive or send any text messages let alone use the internet on our phones, and we were just staring at each other’s faces trying to figure out a solution when one person’s phone began to ring all of a sudden, and Whats App messages started pouring in. We all got ecstatic and checked our own cellphones but we realized that none of us had a working internet or mobile signal. The entire office started to huddle around the guy and began to ask him which service provider he was using.

It was at this point that I realized just how essential an internet connection was. Let me take that back, it was at this point that I realized just how essential a lightning quick internet connection was. From the moment we get up and browse through social media, call a ride using applications in our phone, maybe even order food through an application in our phone, use internet services to entertain ourselves during our long commutes, till the end of the day when we stream movies to unwind, we are relying on our fast connections to get us through the day. But in some cases, the connections aren’t fast at all and this can be a source of inconvenience and frustration, which can really slow us down.

So what should we do? Knowing just how essential a good internet service provider is, we should find one that is tailored specifically to our needs. This leads us back to the unfortunate incident that I experienced in my office. I’m sure you’re all thinking the same thing – which internet provider was that one lucky guy using? He was subscribed to Cox Internet Service. Upon further inquiry, we found that he had a very consistent connection, downloads took place in mere seconds, surfing was protected by a free anti-virus software and he had plenty of space for online storage and all this was for a price as low as $39.99 per month. All this information was more than enough for me to switch to Cox and I would highly recommend it to my readers too.
