Cigarette smoking has been around for centuries and ever since the invention of the first commercial one in 1865, it has been a controversial topic, to say the least. All the doctors in the world you talk to, they would have different opinions regarding the effects of smoking. Some say it is the worst thing to have ever been created, and the fact that tobacco doesn’t contain any single element that is good for our body, their claim makes sense. But there are some doctors who claim to have yielded scrupulous benefits. But whatever their reasons might be, you cannot argue with the fact that smoking does cause some serious effects in the body of a smoker and everyone around them, so how can you mitigate or avoid the toxic effects associated with smoking? Let’s find out.

Eating healthy:

The effects of tobacco and smoking are definitely harmful, but sometimes, if you follow the correct procedures properly, you can minimize their effects on your body. One great way to mitigate the disaster of smoking is to eat the right nutrients. Of course, this in no way means that you will be immune to the harmful effects of smoking, but this will surely minimize those effects. The Proper amount of Vitamin E in your diet, protects your heart and result in the low risk of heart diseases. Omega-3 fatty acids also help with arterial problems, including the blockage of blood vessels. Vitamin C is the foundation of a strong immune system and healthy gums, which a smoker is always in dire need of.

E-Cigarettes:

Short for Electronic Cigarettes, E-Cigarettes has exponentially risen to the top as the best alternative for conventional smoking. The lion’s share of nutrients in these E-cigarettes is E-Juice. This entire process of smoking an e-cigarette as an alternative for smoking, is called "Vaping".

Drinking lots of water:

Our bodies are more than 70% water, so it makes sense when you find out that drinking lots of water can help you minimize the harmful effects of so many health issues. Dehydration is the cause of a lot of different medical conditions, so drinking water can seriously help you live a long and steady life. But, drinking water is also beneficial when it comes to mitigating the adverse effects of smoking. Water helps your inner bodily functions is utilizing the nutrients in your food more efficiently, and flush out toxins from the body through excretion. This flushing out of toxins includes Nicotine, which is probably the most harmful substance in a cigarette.

Filtered Cigarettes:

There are two major types of cigarettes, filtered and unfiltered. Unfiltered cigarettes are cheaper to buy, but far more harmful than filtered ones, and that is because unfiltered cigarettes do not make use of the bud. The bud at the end of a cigarette, helps in filtering out the nicotine and other harmful substances, and thus you do not inhale it. This is not how it happens in unfiltered cigarettes, where there is no filter or a bud to stop the inhalation of harmful substances.

Plenty of exercise: Exercising is our body’s natural way of staying in shape. And although smoking tries its best to put your body out of order, you can regain your best morph by hitting the gym, or just simply working out to minimize the effects of smoking. Of course, smokers have respiratory problems, exercising, especially, cardiovascular exercises will help improve your lung capacity and the respiratory muscles. A 30 minute workout, 5 times a day is just perfect to stay in shape, and also fight off effects of nicotine, tar, carbon- mono-oxide, and other harmful substances.
