Living Around The World:

Every day we read so much of new content on various social media channels, newspaper, magazines and where not.

If you must have noticed, there is so much variety in what we read there.

Have you ever thought, from where all that is coming and why is all that even there?

On the basis of that, allow me to get you a bit interested in 5 of the most inspiring writers of the world.

These are the best of what I found and got inspired from.

They are the ones with the best of content to get some great extra knowledge.

Intrepid, Determined, Creative, Striking or just plain Badass- Here are some of the living authors who shake us awake!!!

Allow me to provide you with a little information about them.

Chinua Achebe:

The best-selling Nigerian novelist refrigerated his foot under the universal tales of personal and moral struggle in the context of the tragic drama of colonization.

Born on 16th November 1930 was a Nigerian novelist, poet, professor and critics.

Started his career with a novel named "Things Fall Apart", is considered one of his best material and is the most praised book in modern African Literature.

Though he gained worldwide attention for his novel "Things Fall Apart" in late 1950s.

Later he grabbed the world’s attention with his later writings some of which are-

No longer at ease (1960)

Arrow of God (1964)

A man of the people (1966)

Anthills of Savannah (1987)

Uwem Akpan:

A Jesuit priest from Nigeria becomes a best-selling, Oprah-chosen Author.

Born on 19th May 1971, is the Author of "Say you are one of them" (2008) is a collection of five stories, each set in different African country.

The information about this writing which won’t fail to grab your attention, it won Commonwealth Writer’s Prize and PEN Open Book Award.

Susanna Clarke:

Born on 1st November 1959, is an English author started with "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell" (2004) is the novel she is known for.

Also won Hugo Award for the same.

After two years she also got published a collection of short stories "The ladies of grace Adieu and Other Stories"

Clarke’s Novel as well as her short stories both are written in a appropriation of the styles of 19th century writers such as Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

Donald Hall:

Donald Andrew Hall, Jr was born 20th September 1928 is an American writer, poet, editor and literary critic.

Hall being the writer with over 50 books across several genres from children’s literature, biography, memoir, essays and including 22 volumes of verse.

Hall became the first poetry editor of "The Paris Review" (1953-2961), a prominent quarterly literary journal and was noted for interviewing poets and other authors on their craft.

Also he is respected for his work as an academic, having taught at Stanford Univerity, Bennington College, University of Michigan.

Kathryn Harrison:

Born on 20th March 1961 in the heart of California, Los Angeles is an American author published seven novels, two memoirs, two collections of personal essays, a travelogue, two biographies and even a book of true crime.

She even reviews regularly for "The New York Times Book Review"

Harrison’s memoir "The Kiss" documented a love triangle that developed

Involving her young mother, her father and herself.

It described her father’s seduction of her when she was twenty and their incestuous involvement, which persisted for four years and is reflected in the plots and themes of her first three novels, published before "The Kiss".

Having described that, it takes a lot of guts to even talk about something like "The Kiss", which she got published.
