When it comes to choosing resorts and ski chalets, La Tania is one of the best places for families with children, even small ones. In fact, it’s one of the most child-friendly resorts in the Alps.

From the pedestrian-friendly and environmentally well-planned village centre to the enchantingly fairy-tale ski chalets, La Tania is built and equipped for the kind of ski holiday that can be truly enjoyable for both young and old. Listed below are just a few of the things available in the area to help ensure children will have fun on the winter holiday too.

A Fairy-tale Location

Magical woods hiding away chocolate box chalets–La Tania accommodations are enough to delight children from the moment they arrive. Imagine staying in a place that looks like it came right out of a storybook, set within an enchanted forest—this resort offers just that.

Childcare/Nanny Services and Facilities

Should you want to go off on adventures of your own without your young ones in tow, you won’t have to worry about leaving them alone inside the chalets. La Tania has many competent, efficient and professional nanny services and childcare facilities that come highly recommended.

Snow Bugs, Snow Angel Nannies, T4 Nannies, and Merinannies are among the top private nanny services that offer quality care and protection for your little ones, whether in your chalet or in their professional care and activity areas. Many of these hold regular hours (such as the traditional 9–5), but childcare outside those hours can be arranged in advance. For recommendations, ask the Tourism Office for references.

Creches and Ski Lessons

The resort also has many places where your children can learn new skills and have fun. Kindergartens and crèches, such as La Maison des Enfants and Garderie Creche, offer fun lessons and activities (as well as lunches and snacks) for children as young as three years old. Le Jardin des Nieges and Club Piou Piou teach children to ski, even at as young as three years of age. Your child will leant the basics and be able to enjoy the slopes with you sooner rather than later.

Entertainment and Other Activities

Playing in the snow can be one of the most enjoyable things for children–especially with the promise of a hot chocolate when they're finished. Young visitors are able to enjoy the best the winter resort has to offer with snowboarding, sledging, and bum boarding activities—and even a random snowball fight or two (with supervision of course)!

There are also plenty of non-snow-related activities children can enjoy, such as swimming in the heated pools, bowling, grass scooters, rollerblading, trampolining, horseback riding, nature hikes, and more. Or, if they're looking for something involving less physical activity, children can have just as much fun with face painting, art lessons, storytelling, board games, and other indoor activities.
