1. This variety is normally played between only two players with one pack of 52 cards.
2. There is no scope for a printed joker for this type of Rummy. Only a random card is selected as a wild card and used as a joker.
3. Staying with joker, if a card of a particular value of one suit is selected as a random joker, then it implies that the same value card of any suit can be treated as a random joker.
4. Each opponent is dealt with 13 cards each as the name suggests.
5. Each player must pick up a card from the set of shuffled cards and the player who gets the lower value card gets to deal the card.
6. The objective of the game is to form at least two sequences, one of which should be a pure life and the balance cards are used to form sequences / sets.
7. A sequence is nothing but forming consecutive cards of the same suit. When the same is formed with a joker it is called an impure life and if it is not formed with the wild joker, it is called a pure life.
8. A set is nothing but the formation of the same value card of different suits.
9. After the cards are dealt a card is placed face up on the open deck and the remaining on the closed deck.
10. Each player should pick up a card from either the closed or open deck and discard one on every turn.
11. A player who is sure to have succeeded in forming sequences/sets conformance to the objective of the game should declare the game by keeping the card on the finished slot.
12. The player who has thus declared the game should submit the cards for validation.
13. A valid declaration gains him a win.
