Have you ever wondered what kind of plants would you grow in your garden, if you had the chance to pick any plant in the world, no matter of the climate and soil it usually grows in? I'm sure that every passionate gardener has a lot of thoughts like this one. After all, there are so many interesting kinds of plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, fruits and vegetables, which can't grow in absolutely every kind of soil, but this doesn't mean we wouldn't like to have them in our backyards. Well, maybe it's true, that we can't have everything in this world, but it doesn't mean we can't have interesting and exotic fruits in our gardens. So, in order to set your minds to ease, I've gathered these five quite easily grown exotic fruits, which would be perfect for your backyard. So, check them out and see if you find the plant you've been dreaming of growing.

Lychees. The lychee is more popular in China and South-East Asia, but it can also grow quite well in Australia once it's established. The lychee is a tree, which needs lots of watering in order to grow properly. The best place to grow it is in the middle of a vegetable garden, because the vegetables also need to be watered at least once a day. The lychee produces very nice round brown fruits, which are very delicious and full of healthy vitamins and minerals. The lychee is very vulnerable while it grows, so it's quite important to protect it from strong winds when it's young. Once the root system is established, the only thing you'll have to worry about is to water it every day. The longans are also exotic trees, which are quite similar to the lychees.

Ice cream bean tree. The ice cream bean tree is a very curious and quite amazing representative of the local flora. It's a very big upright tree, which produces long and legume ponds, which contain the seeds, which are packed in a white fluffy bag. The white fluffy thing is actually the fruit, which tastes just like vanilla ice cream. This tree is also unique, because it's the only plant, which can take the nitrogen from the atmosphere and inject it into the soil through its roots. This is why it's a wonderful idea to plant lettuce, cabbage and other vegetables, which need nitrogen around it. The only problem would be that they need lots of maintenance the first few years. This is why many busy people hire professional gardeners from Croydon to handle the maintaining of the tree until it grows enough.

Hawaiian guava. There are many types of guavas, some of which have a very sweet taste, and some taste just like turpentine. But the Hawaiian guava is definitely my favourite when it comes to flavour. This fruit is quite big, it has green skin and is pink on the inside. It's really sweet and succulent, and it's commonly used to produce juices from it. The guava is very easily grown, once its roots have established. This is why it's perfect to be grown in your backyard, in full sun. It also needs a quite small amount of water to survive.

Banana passionfruit. These quite amazing fruits are from the vine family. The banana passionfruit has a very beautiful and dark green foliage, and it grows quite quickly. It's perfect if you want to hide an ugly fence or wall by letting it grow on it. This plant produces gorgeous pink flowers, which afterwards transform into yellow long fruits. The name of this plant comes from the shape of the fruits, which look a little like bananas, but taste quite differently.

Feijoas. These fruits originate from the south Pacific, but they can also grow quite well in Australia. The feijoa is a shrub, which can grow up to three metres in height. It can produce hundreds of thick fruits with dark green skin and a soft pulp. These fruits can make a great addition to some salads.
