Summer in La Tania is definitely a summer well spent! With its charming setting amidst mountains and spruce forests, you and your children will surely want to explore this beautiful area as soon as you arrive. If you’re looking for inspiration, then the nearby valley of Champagny Le Haut is a fantastic launch pad for family-friendly adventures in the Vanoise National Park – quad biking, climbing, fishing and blindfolded forest walks are all available. The National Park is only a short 30 minute journey from La Tania, so you won’t be feeling tired before the fun’s even started.

Walking and Hiking

Keen hikers or more of a relaxed Sunday afternoon stroll kind of family? Either way, there’s sure to be a route which you can all enjoy. Le Vallon trail is a leisurely option which takes you through the valley of Champagny Le Haut, starting from the Couaz dam. Alternately you can explore the fascinating gorges of La Pontille or try the Montagnettes tour, which will bring you up into the mountain pastures – expect some wonderful views of glaciers, valleys and clear blue sky.

Kids Programme

This summer’s Kids Programme at Champagny Le Haut has something for everyone. Explore nature in a new way with a blindfolded guided tour of the forest, go for the bullseye with archery lessons from a professional and become a storyteller of the legends of the Alps. With so much action packed in, you won’t have any trouble getting the kids off to bed in the evening.

Fishing

See who can be the first to catch a trout in one of Champagny’s rivers – even if you don’t manage to, there can’t be many more peaceful ways of spending summer in La Tania than a few hours of this gentle sport. Feel all tension washed away by the sounds of the river. Ahhhh…..

Mountain Biking

Get up high and feel the mountain air whip past you as you go off-road. There are various trails for all levels: the 4 Hamlets is a particularly good for beginners and will bring you right into the Vanoise National Park. If you don’t feel like working too hard while on holiday this summer in La Tania, then electric bikes are also available for hire.

Climbing

Discover the buzz of climbing whilst in the capable hands of an experienced guide. All through summer climbing courses are on offer – choose between a 2-hour group lesson or a full course of three 2-hour lessons. If your kids are into all things nature then they’ll love the tree-climbing sessions as well. Not only will they be getting some great exercise, they’ll also learn about the different trees in the area and the wonderful variety of nature.

Quad Biking
