No matter how much you age, you cannot dodge a few emotions on a trip, especially the road trips. The myriad of feelings that emerge in you during the trip, as well as before and after it, are a little more than difficult to express in words. Whether you take a week long holiday on a beach-side destination, or just a long weekend on the hills, you would definitely experience a few feelings.

Exhilaration

A huge level of excitement and exhilaration occurs in the heart before the trip, especially when you have booked the tickets and reserved the hotel. Before making the bookings, the plans are always dicey and the enthusiasm is mixed with confusion. Once the things are certain, there is no looking back and you know that you have to take that trip. You just feel excited and wait for the big day impatiently. The best thing to do during the waiting period is to make a list of things to do and places to go. However, in your heart, you know that every trip is unpredictable and this awareness makes you even more excited. Most travelers live for this feeling of exhilaration that they experience right before they leave the city for the vacation.

Anticipation

Combined with exhilaration, you would feel anticipating several things about the trip each night a few days before it begins. It becomes literally impossible for several people to sleep just because they cannot stop thinking! You may find yourself in several woolgathering moments, imagining about fancy things you want to do on the hills or the beachside. Moreover, you may make virtual list of things you need to take and buy for the vacation- a new backpack, clothes, first-aid kit, trekking shoes, and a lot more things that you would actually not carry when the time comes. It is great to be positive about future, but you need to calm down your nerves if you lose sleep thinking over such things.

Admiration

No doubt that you left your city behind and your worries as well. Traveling towards your destination and having arrived there gives a feeling of astonishment owing to several reasons. A city full of commotion, the tranquil mountains, a serene lakes, and a gorgeous ocean- everything about a beautiful tourist destination leaves you admiring everything about them. Maybe you can witness several such things in your city as well, but then you do not have time during your regular life to stop and admire those little gorgeous sights. Wherever you go, you may feel trounced by the incredibility of the town and you cannot believe you are finally there. If you start feeling that you are losing this sense of astonishment and admiration, you need to take a break from holidays as well and rest for a few months in your city.

Delight

What’s the use of going to a different corner of the world when you do not feel the joy in it? When you decided to visit that site for the first time or for the tenth time, you must have got a reason for it. Something about that place must have pulled you to be there, which is the reason you feel joyful about being there. You might have saved for months to be there and now is the time you can reap fruits of your efforts. When you feel delightful about being at a place, you can be sure that you still have a child living in your heart.

Belonging

The sense of belonging sets in when you have already visited a place a few times before. You might go to the same city once again with people who have not visited there, but that place feels like it belongs to you and you belong to it. You already know your favorite café, the temples, and your chosen place to sit and enjoy the scenery. Some of the local people start recognizing you and they nod at you when you pass. You may think of spending a good part of your retirement life at this place.

Thrill

Hitting the road in a car to reach somewhere or nowhere is the best feeling about a vacation. You never know what to expect from a road trip, what you would talk to your friends, and how good or bad your journey would be. In India, roads are unpredictable and yet fascinating. The southern part of the country witnesses thousands of road trippers every year. Many of them take Self-Drive Car Rentals in Hyderabad and other cities to explore the thrilling places dotted all around. Self-Drive Cars in Hyderabad are the best way to explore the roads and feel the thrill on the curvaceous boulevards.

Annoyance

You may be the calmest person on earth, but at least once on your journey, you would feel annoyed about everything and everyone around you. Even if everything is in perfect sync, you wouldn’t feel good about it. And the place is not to be blamed for your bad mood or bad health; sometimes things are out of control and you feel nothing but hapless. If someone steals your wallet or your stomach goes bad, you would not like anything at the place. Mood swings happen particularly when you feel lonely, unhealthy, or tired. You can try to come out of the sulky mood and make the most of your time; after all, you made so much efforts to be there.

Tolerance

You realize that not every trip is perfect and some things will go good and others will go bad. You try to leave all your bad memories behind and bring back your feelings of admiration and joy. You start accepting everything and develop tolerance for a grating fellow traveler, bungled roads, and still find beauty in everything you see.

Anxiety

Doesn’t it feel dreadful to say goodbye to the place and head for your city? Definitely it does. The days during a vacation fly away like seconds and you never realize when the time to go home arrives. Even if you spend a month at a place, you never want to go to your workplace. This feeling of anxiety does not feel good, but at least it gives the motivation to travel again soon.

Blues

Once you come back home, you cannot help but feel sad about remembering the good time you spent on your holiday. The time you are unpacking and opening the souvenirs turns on the melancholic music in your mind. The world may see the amazing time you spent through your photos, but your mind is somewhere else.

Gratitude

Travelers never forget to thank their life and the God for the time and life they have got. Once the post-travel blues are over, you feeling gratitude for everything and everyone around you and start planning about traveling again. You meet your new and old friends and share your memories with them.

Being a traveler, you cannot avoid getting these feelings and many more. When you feel those emotions, you know that the human inside you still exists and you have to explore many more things than you have already seen.
