Web design is a vast industry. There are millions of websites designed for purpose of an online identity and providing services.

Few years back website was just for showing an online identity but today with huge developments in this industry, websites are used to provide services, SaaS technology is one such example.

For service providing websites, other than providing services, conversions and sales is a secondary motive. For existing customers, the website is fulfilling a primary motive of providing services and for new visitors it is fulfilling secondary motive which is to convert them into lead or sale.
