Nothing says summertime like the beach. Whether you’re lounging beside the ocean or dipping your toes in a lake, a beach gives you the opportunity to stretch out in the sun and put your cares away. Many people, when asked what their favorite part of the beach is, would reply the food, the atmosphere, the water sports or the summer beach sunset in Atlanta. You’re likely to find a myriad of answers, though, as the beach provides thrills and relaxation unlike any other.

Dining and Drink Options

There’s a good reason so many beaches come with boardwalks. Every other storefront is boasting a different kind of food, so it’s the place to go when you want to enjoy good fare on the shoreline. Maybe you don’t have a boardwalk but you have a snack bar on the lake’s edge that serves enough variety to satisfy a large family. Whatever your beach vision, it more than likely includes a favorite place to get pizza, ice cream or perhaps just a cold drink.

If you’re on the lake, you certainly can’t pass up tubing, waterskiing, paddle boarding or wake boarding. If you prefer to just look at the water, there’s plenty to do on land too, such as sunbathing, sandcastle building or taking advantage of some mini golf.
