To get an admission in flying academy or flight training school, one has to clear 12th Standard with Mathematics and Physics as main subject with minimum 50 percent marks. Being a commercial pilot needs a lot of specialized technical training and different levels. In brief, the first level starts with becoming a student pilot that enables a student to learn flying. Next is Private Pilot License that the captain to fly an aircraft without passengers. After gaining training and experience as PPL, one qualifies for the commercial pilot license. The CPL is provided by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. It is the CPL that endorses what airplane you can fly.

Admission process for flight training schools and academics

Most flight training schools and academies conduct entrance admission that you have to appear for if you want to become a pilot. The entrance test is tough and only those who prepare well are able to clear it. You have to furnish the following to get an admission to a reputed flight training school.

  • All the documents and certificates (Std. 10th mark sheet, Std. 12th mark sheet and ID’s to name a few)• Admission formalities have to be completed by the student• Should be physically and mentally fit for medical test as medical is the most important part of admission to a flight training school
