Eyebrows are the defining feature of our face. Thick and well-shaped brows not only frame and balance the face but can also transform an average appearance to a remarkably arresting one.

No wonder we lament over faint, scanty and partial eyebrows and try to fill them with an eyebrow pencil. In fact, it’s not just women anymore; even men are willing to spend time and money on preening and shaping their eyebrows.

Hair stroke eyebrows present a more natural-looking and long-lasting solution for getting the brows you always wanted. The advanced microblading procedure is actually a brow embroidery technique wherein superfine needles are used to create thin, hair-like strokes on the skin – very similar to a regular tattoo. The procedure is relatively painless with very less downtime. The results are very impressive and last for a good number of years

After Care Procedures:

There will be mild swelling or bruising around the brow area for a few days after the treatment. The permanent makeup expert will provide a soothing ointment or cream and advise on the application.

Additional care is needed for a week or two. You need to keep the area clean but avoid rubbing the skin when you wash the face. In fact, you should not expose the face directly to the shower either. Avoid harsh soaps, cleansers or makeup on the brows. Never scratch or pick on the brows even if a crust forms on the tattoo.

Avoid exposing yourself to direct sunlight in this interim period. Refraining from swimming is also suggested due to the chlorine in the water. Yet, some peeling and lightening of the tattoo is quite normal.

The best part is that the enhanced eyebrows heal completely within two weeks or so and become a natural part of your face. Now they do not require any special care at all. You just need to be prepared that the hair-stroke eyebrow tattoos are bound to fade gradually with time. There are certain precautions you can take to delay the lightening as much as possible:

  • The more your face is exposed to the sun, water and other elements, the quicker will the eyebrows fade. Therefore, it is always better to apply a strong sunblock on the brows whenever you leave the house.
• Experts also advice applying petroleum jelly on the brows before going swimming.

  • Use a mild moisturizer that is not likely to affect the hair stroke eyebrows.
  • Avoid exfoliating on the eyebrows as this may cause the tattoo to peel off slowly.
  • Also, request the beautician to steer clear of the brow area when getting a facial or peel treatment done.
  • Regular touch-ups of the hair stroke eyebrows will keep them looking bright and fresh.

In sum, hair stroke eyebrows are relatively hassle-free and do not require any special maintenance at all.
