Creative Director with Versatile Personality

Jarrod Carland, a creative director with a diverse background in various industries. He has always been passionate about arts and has been involved in the entertainment industry as a producer, working on various events and productions, from festivals to musical theatre productions and large scale concerts and events. He has worked in major cities all over the world including Sydney, London and New York.

Jarrod completed his Bachelors of Arts in Musical Theatre from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Edith Cowen University in Perth, Western Australia in 2000 and then went on to pursue his career in theatre. He has a number of successful stage productions around the world under his name. He performed in a number of acts when he was in London namely Cats as Munkustrap, Grease as Danny Zuko, Phantom of the Opera as Raoul, Vicomte de Changy. He also got a chance to perform at London’s Royal Prince Albert Hall in 2006 in a show named Show Boat as Steve Baker. He had a brilliant and successful career as a performer.

Jarrod Carland later moved to New York, where he worked in general Management under the leadership of Laura Green on Broadway. In New York, he worked on various high profile productions such as the Producers and Hairspray. His most prominent production is The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankenstein, which he worked on as an assistant to Mel Brooks. The production was a musical with a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Mel Brooks.

Later he moved back to Australia, his home country where he started working as an Assistant Producer with Andrea Bocelli in Concert, which toured all over Australia and New Zealand. Jarrod also worked as an executive producer for Avenue Q Australia which toured cities like Auckland, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane.

While working on Avenue Q, in 2008 he laid the foundation of Studio Jack, a graphic design studio in Prahran. Jarrod is passionate about everything to do with design whether art, music, graphic design, food, coffee and good wine. Studio Jack has created various noticeable and stylish visuals for marketing campaigns, branding purposes and artistic projects. Jarrod has a lot going on and with an impressive portfolio of award-winning projects worldwide, he is always ready to take on his next campaign.
