A large percentage of elderly people still live with their family and kids in India and hardly one percent stay in old age homes; there is a steady increase in such facilities.

According to various studies, in big cities, there is a change in people’s opinion about it. For example, when you inquire about a good-quality Old age Home in Pune, you are not a person who has no family to care for you.

People know that several reasons are there behind the decision of choosing an old age home.

Sometimes, people choose it voluntarily because they want to live life in their own way. They don’t want any restrictions or compulsions. In such cases, people don’t bother about the charges, but they need excellent facilities and good accommodation.

Posh old age homes are in a high demand

As mentioned earlier, money is no longer a problem amongst the senior citizens in our country. The majority of the senior citizens are financially independent. They have sufficient savings in the kitty, and they choose the facilities that they like the most.

Old-fashioned Old age Home in Pune with dull, insufficiently illuminated rooms no longer exist. Rather, there are facilities that offer posh rooms, individual TV facility, and great dining rooms.

Round-the-clock medical assistance, ambulance, and transportation facilities, Yoga and recreation centers, and physiotherapy centers and gym are offered by old age homes.

No doubt, these homes are great places to live. Senior citizens enjoy there.

Privacy and western-style facilities are the top two preferences

As mentioned earlier, people d not bother about the charges, but they need excellent living facilities. It has been observed that the preference is given for western-style accommodation.

In large cities, there are housing localities where senior citizens live in individual apartments and share some common place for dining and recreation.

The apartments are connected to the central monitoring system. Round-the-clock assistance and surveillance are given to the residents.

Thus, the residents can live a worry-free life without compromising their privacy. Such Old age Home in Pune is costly, of course. However, it is a premium accommodation for those who afford it.

Old age homes are changing with the time

Yes, change is the only thing in this world that is constant. With the changing times, old age homes are also showing the glimpses of modernization.

They are equipped with new-age facilities such as wi-fi connectivity, Internet connection, and video calling. People make communication with their near and dear ones using mobile phones. Everybody is informed about what is happening in the world.

Thus, the senior citizens today don’t feel isolated and frustrated. They remain in the mainstream and live life happily.

As the population above 60 years increases year after year, India is heading towards becoming the country with the largest number of senior citizens live.

It is needless to say that we have to be ready with more facilities where elderly people can live safely and comfortably. Hence, efforts are required to mitigate the gap between demand and supply.
