Metamorphosis Kicks Off At Myntra

The Myntra Leadership Development Program ‘Metamorphosis’ has kick started you guys! What that might be you ask? Well, the "Metamorphosis" is a part and the first workshop of Myntra’s newly initiated program called the ‘Self Awareness and System Thinking’ program. Hold your horses, guys! It will only start sounding interesting and exciting to you once you begin to understand it.

This program is a mix of various engagement activities focused on self-awareness, influencing skills, interpersonal relations and creating win-win situations. Myntra M-team members joined the participants in small learning circles and shared their leadership experiences and essential learnings. And you know what stole the show? It was the theatre-based learning. Guess, the employees at Myntra have always been up for putting up a great ‘show’. The amount of fun that must have been had, is still unknown to us, but we are able to make a guess by the looks of it.

It was the number 23, that’s how many Myntra employees could participate and were selected. These employees were from various departments at Myntra and they were the lucky ones to be able to begin this journey which is one of its kind. Imagine just waking up one day, going about your business and getting ready to rock office for the day 9well, partly),. Taking a shower and finding something to wear. And finally managing a look which isn’t too uncomfortable (or comfortable) compared to the pajamas you had slept in last night. And then when you are finally done finding the right footwear and successfully directing your Uber from the main road to your house, you reach office after. Now you are supposed to work. Right? No!

The workshop is just one of the aspects of Metamorphosis, which aims to nurture future leaders of Myntra by creating a strong foundation and exciting opportunities for them. It is Myntra’s flagship project – the first structured and differentiated Leadership Development Program presented by The Myntra Academy. It not only aims to accelerate leadership development by creating a customized learning journey, but also gives people the opportunity to work on high impact business critical projects. This will further encourage innovation in a systematic manner, which lies at the core of how Myntra works.

In the program, as in life, reflection and action play a very important role. The former, followed by the latter are key learnings for participants. To that end the program includes Personal Coaching Sessions with external coaches and Action Learning Projects. In the coming months, the participants will also work on a sub-project called ‘Fashion for a Cause’, underscoring elements of sustainability and community building which is in line with Myntra’s Vision and Mission statement.

We can be sure of the fact that Myntra is investing time and creativity in all of its ventures as well as systems. This initiative to train and make employees aware of possibilities of bigger and better roles is just another facet letting us know that Myntra is here to stay, not just for its customers and employees, but as an idea and a hope for a better and more stylish business modal.
