Women’s bike seat is an important part of women’s bike. Everyone's has a different shape bottom. So, selecting the right saddle is a fundamental factor in being able to ride with comfort.

The material, width, and shape all these matters contribute to comfort riding. Here’s are some following steps how to choose the right saddle for you.

There are numerous women’s bike saddles options are available in the markets. Saddles are built in different type of sizes and shapes to suit every type of cyclist like touring, racing, leisure and commuting cycling to suit every bum. So you have to choose the right saddle according to your requirements.

Shape

Sometimes it is very crucial to choose the perfect seat shape that fits body shape and riding style. For example, for a racer’s riding position, he/she need a narrow saddle. And for a female rider, the wider saddle needs to be the choice.

So, race bikes need thin saddles, and women’s bike needs the wide saddle. Generally, flexibility and position on the bike that matches your body anatomy.

Remember a quality saddle should comfortable for sit bones, not necessary to support the entire bum. So, some saddles come in different widths, according to male and female body shape. Some saddle is wide, some are narrow, some are flat, and some are scooped backs.

So, decide what type of rider you are and what type of saddle do you suit. Remember one thing that too wide saddle can lead to chafing, and too thin saddle can feel like sitting on a knife.

Material, Rails, And Shell

There are different types of materials are used in different type of saddle, from plastic bases and steel rails. If you spend more, then you will get lighter materials, so when you want a lightweight saddle, you need to spend some more money.

Some seat cover made with from synthetic or real leather; some manufacturers might use many other materials. But the leather should be rainproof.

Padding

At present maximum saddles use foam padding, but the style of padding can vary rider to rider. Less padding saddles are suitable for Racier, while regular and leisure cyclists want a softer and wider padding saddle, to cushion the ride.

Additionally, if you ride long fast for distance, then extra padding is not suitable for you because when you move, it can pinch rather than comfort your sit bones.
