USB CONNECTION TO WIRELESS NETWORK

For those printers, which do not have the wireless printer connection option can use the USB cable to establish connection between your computer and printer. The printer supports a rear USB 2.0 High Speed port to enable a wired connection between the computer and the HP Deskjet 2130 printer.

How to connect the printer with the USB cable?

  • Insert the printer software CD that came with the HP printer software in the computer CD-ROM drive. (Also, make a note that you do not connect the USB cable to the printer until you are asked to do so.)
  • Follow the instructions displayed on your computer/laptop screen. When you see the prompt box, connect your HP Deskjet 2130 printer by choosing the Connection Options screen. On the new screen, select the USB option.
  • Again, follow the on screen prompts to complete your set up process.

Once the printer software has been installed in a proper manner, your HP printer will function as a plug-and-play device. In case the HP software has not been installed properly, then insert the CD that was delivered with your printer and follow the instructions to complete the process.

Wi-Fi Direct Connect

Your printer is capable of establishing Wi-Fi Direct and then builds a private wireless network accompanying cloud devices. Over the control panel you can press the Wi-Fi Direct button to enable the Cloud Printing service. Now try to enable Wi-Fi ON in your Smart Phone & Tablet and then type in the Wi-Fi Direct Name and Password for authentication.

Note: Your Wireless Network Name and WEP key is different from the one used for Wi-Fi Direct network authentication.

Now you can wirelessly print your documents without any Drivers. You can begin to print on your own terms from anywhere and from any device on your convenience. If the established Cloud Print network often gets disconnected then certainly there is a receptivity issue. Therefore, you should have to relocate your printer closer towards the Cloud Print Devices to improve on the receptivity. Also, you may try to turn off the Sleep Mode from your DeskJet 2130.
