Weddings are occasions that people remember for their entire life. However, choosing the right food at your wedding is as important as deciding upon the other aspects involved in wedding preparation. You might plan to the tie the knot in some lavish wedding resort in Udaipur, but a poor choice of dishes can ruin the experience for your guests.

  • Even if you are a meat lover, serving a menu that is predominantly made up of animal protein is not ideal. Since you are hosting the event, you must take into consideration the likes of others and design a menu that provides a variety of options for even vegetarians and kids. Although you won't be able to satisfy everyone, your choices will be liked by most.
  • You should try to avoid risky foods that involve raw ingredients which not everyone is familiar with. A steak Tartare can go horribly wrong since the meat can be way too undercooked for some.
  • If you are planning to do a
destination wedding in Udaipur, never serve mini-portions of dishes in a wedding. Mini sandwiches and tiny burgers might be perfect for a cocktail party, but it is not suitable for a wedding. When you invite guests to your wedding, always make sure you have more than enough food for all of them.

  • Serving dishes that are too complicated and require a lot of time and effort to make can be a big mistake. Such dishes can often create a backlog because of the amount of time the catering time will need to prepare and plate the dishes. Although spacing your dishes out is necessary, it doesn't mean they should have to sit and wait for their food.
  • A massive meal spread over eight to ten courses is unnecessary and is wastage of resources. Keep in mind the wedding is also a family event where people want to enjoy and not spend most of their time at the dining table.
  • If you create a menu filled with a lot of exotic dishes, a large portion of your guests might not be comfortable. People do not go to a wedding to try new dishes and it is advisable to stick with dishes everyone knows and loves.
  • Even if you are having a theme wedding, trying to pick the food according to the theme is risky. You must be sure beforehand that the catering team you hire is comfortable with the dishes you want to prepare.

No one will remember the decorations at your wedding party, but the menu and dishes are often open to more scrutiny. Always keep in mind the guests you intend to invite and prepare a menu that is inclusive for everyone.
