Are Ski Chalets the Right Accommodation For You?
Posted: Mar 19, 2014
Every winter, the Alpine slopes see a plethora of tourists from all over Europe flock to their many excellent resorts. While holidaymakers from other parts of the world often choose lodges or even luxury hotels as their favoured haunts, British tourists tend, as a general rule, to book in to one of the many fantastic ski chalets La Tania and most of the other resorts in the most popular ski regions offer.
As popular as they are, however, the types of chalets La Tania and its sister resorts offer are not suited for every type of tourist. While this kind of accommodation does offer a degree of flexibility, easily adapting itself to several different profiles of holidaymaker, there are still those for whom it is not a suitable option. Check these tips below before you make your decision.
Yes
Who, then, are the ideal clients of these wonderful ski chalets? For starters, families or any type of group with small children. Being much less restrictive and stifling than something like a hotel room, most of the chalets La Tania and other resorts offer – whether self-catered or catered – give young winter holidaymakers the level of freedom and relaxation that they need in a break away from the rule-heavy routine of the school term. Parents may discover children finish their holiday significantly more relaxed and in better spirits than those who were cooped up inside a hotel room the entire time.
The desirability of this kind of accommodation extends to any larger group. Lads’ or girls’ holidays, business groups, school classes or even hen and stag parties will find this type of accommodation to be just large enough to fit them all in easily, while still being affordable enough that it won’t break the bank.
Finally, romantic couples might find the smaller chalets La Tania and other resorts offer very much to their liking. They may even add that extra touch of romanticism by ensuring their luxury accommodation is catered.
No
At the other end of the spectrum – people for whom booking this kind of accommodation would be a waste of money or not at all possible – are, obviously, solo travellers. Although single-person chalets may, on occasion, be available, most of these types of homes were designed to accommodate two or more people, so staying on one’s own will feel like a waste of perfectly good acreage. Furthermore, even a single-occupant one may turn out significantly more expensive than the traveller is prepared to allow for, making them a poor choice for the holidaymaker on a budget. Aside from ‘solo flyers’, however, there are not many people for who this excellent and sought after accommodation would be ill suited.
