High Density Plastic Outdoor Furniture Reigns
Posted: Oct 31, 2017
Metal porch furniture is certainly pretty, but it presents a particular problem, especially when the air is salty or close to the ocean. It rusts. Even when it’s rust treated and claims to be rust-resistant, exposure to the open air still presents deterioration problems. And, then there are the screws, frames, and hardware. The solution: high density plastic acrylic.
Bea Pile of B. Pile Design in Miami, Florida explains that clear high density plastic, acrylic furniture, which looks like glass, is "the darling of porch design. It’s extremely durable, offers a terrific contrast to traditional porch furniture, comes in lots of colors, and is widely available. Most of all, it’s virtually indestructible and requires very little maintenance. No other porch furniture material can make such a claim. And, really, who wants to clean and upkeep porch furniture?
Ecomass Technologies
Since 1998, Ecomass Technologies has provided innovative solutions through advanced composite materials, engineered thermoplastic composite materials, high density plastics, high density polymers, and gamma ray shielding. It has worked with government and commercial customers to conquer physical property and material challenges and exceed application needs.
Ecomass’ focuses on the material challenges and provides original equipment manufacturers and material processorsthe creative freedom to focus on form and function. It strives to provide its customers with the highest performing, lowest cost materials, and thus, empowersthem to produce the finest parts possible, which then allows them to compete in their respective markets.
Ecomass’ high gravity compounds are engineered to replace traditional materials and have been used as a substitute for lead, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, copper, and other metals in the following applications:
