You have to take the cholesterol lowering medicines as you do not want to increase the problem of heart and the diabetes any further. Overall there should be a change your lifestyle and you need to focus more on the intake of healthy and nutritious diet. You also have to reduce the intake of daily diet. Try to eat a little less than your appetite especially in the night. Exercise increases the good cholesterol in most individuals.

Nowadays the packed food manufacturing companies have also started producing eatables which no or very low cholesterol. A simple blood test can determine the level of cholesterol in your body. You can take suggestions from the physician.
