Silicone rubber tubing manufacturers use qualitative material to deliver to their customers and in the market. These pipes have a wide range of applications in various industries and have gained significant market acceptance due to their quality characteristics. These can all be in different specifications and can be customized according to the customer's requirements

Silicon rubber tubes-

Silicone rubber tubes are made of silicone rubber. The tube is widely used in food, automotive, telecommunications, chemical, medical and biotechnology fields. Silicone tubes come in many different grades and configurations and are therefore basically grouped into three categories: Medical or food, for general purpose and high pressure.

Properties of silicon tubes-

  • They are hydrophobic
  • They are reusable even after repeated sterilization
  • They are extremely flexible
  • They are tasteless and odorless
  • The tubes made of silicon are non-toxic
  • They are not reactive to body fluids
  • They are able to resist high temperature ranging from -660* C to +2500* C
  • They resist ozone, UV rays, gases, moisture and extreme temperatures.

General purpose tubes-

General purpose tubes and hoses are versatile and do not require the high purity range of the compound. Because of their excellent flexibility, these are mainly used in many home appliances and workshops or hobby applications.

Medical/food grade tubing-

These are specially designed hoses and tubes that do not react with any medical or food material. They are sterilized in standard autoclaves to make them suitable for intimate contact with food ingredients, body tissues, and fluids or sensitive drugs. In this particular type of tubing, the silicone tubing and hoses made are completely odorless, odorless and non-toxic, with special properties that do not support bacterial growth.

Medical grade purity is achieved by a process known as a platinum cure done before the rubber compound is converted into a hose or tube

High-pressure pipe-

High-pressure pipes and hoses are manufactured by strengthening their composition to prevent expansion and breakage. These tubes are mainly used when pipes are in direct contact with pressurized gas or when inhaled. However, sharp fixtures and fittings near the pipe should be avoided as they have lower tensile and vapor resistance and may cause excessive wear.

In these lines, high purity levels are maintained due to the specialization in the biochemical industry. Other properties that make it capable of use in high-pressure environments are its propensity to regain its original shape, good resistance to temperature and aging.

Uses of silicone in the industrial area

Silica gel has many uses in the industrial field, and its excellent properties and types provide a wide range of functional areas. Some of these uses are:

  • Electrical connector seal and jacket
  • Building and window seals
  • High-voltage insulation
  • Medical equipment seals and tubing
  • Seals and gaskets for electrical and food processing equipment
  • Compound Thermoforming
  • Water purification tube
  • Milk processing tube
  • Small appliance heater tube
  • Optical surgery drainage
  • Outdoor electrical enclosure
  • Aviation and military fluid delivery

Creative Elastomers are silicone rubber tubing manufacturers and fabricators of the silicone rubbers. They manufacture many products all related to the silicon and rubber such silicone tubing, rubber hose and so on.
