Pest infestations can indeed get on our nerves. Swarms of eerie, uncanny and uninvited creatures throng specific areas in our residence or commercial spaces, making it almost impossible to uproot them overnight. In fact, using strong chemical repellents to expel them might prove fatal to the health and wellness of our family. This leaves us with the option of using organic pesticides or go by home remedies that are effective if applied repeatedly in right quantities.

For each pest there are designated non toxic solutions that are often more sustainable and reactive in eliminating pests easily than toxic products used by pest removal services, but, bereft of the harmful side effects.

Preliminary Precautions - Regular cleaning and vacuuming discourage infestations. Leakages, pores and other entrances should be sealed well. Ensuring proper drainage and preventing water clogging helps. Food should be stored in airtight containers while unwashed utensils should not be dumped in the sink. Empty trash on a regular basis because pests get attracted to unclean places.

Do away with Ants - Coffee dust and soapy water are the best ant repellents as they cannot stand the scent. Kerosene acts as an instant reliever. Cucumber slices too serve well.

Get rid of the Flies - Attract flies by storing apple cider vinegar or fruits with a sweet aroma inside a bowl and cover it with cellophane. Prick it with a toothpick to let the smell attract flies, who struggle their way in, but are unable to escape, thus get trapped.

Cockroach Control - Sprinkle boric acid on the countertops or sewage pipes through which the coackroaches climb up. They carry the acid back to their league, killing them. Garlic powder, beer, soap solution as well as coffee are effective as well.

Driving away Bedbugs - Lit up camphor in a closed room. The vapour suffocates the bedbugs, killing them all at a go. Alcohol too serves to be effective.

Spider Relief- Using a mix of water and vinegar kills spiders instantly owing to the pungent odour. Soapy water serves as an alternative.

Repelling Mosquitoes - One of the toughest parts is getting rid of mosquitoes which mostly resist even the strongest of repellents. Pest removal services are summoned majorly for this purpose, but, fighting back the menace is easy with effective home solutions like oil or extract of tulsi, neem, eucalyptus, lavender or mint.

Plant Pest Repelling Herbs in the Surroundings - Citronella, marigold, neem, tulsi, tea tree are compositely effective in expelling insects out of your abode. They too serve in adding to the aesthetics of your home.

Spraying Strong Solutions - Essential oils from geranium, peppermint, rosemary extracts or using the mixture of oil and grain alcohol like vodka in a spray bottle against the infestation sites help us get rid of pests for good.

Implementing these DIY remedies in a systematic fashion until the cleansing is fully done, presents to you a healthy home, far from the threat of ailments.
