AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon.com and was launched in March 2006. AWS provides on-demand cloud computing platforms to individuals, companies, and Governments. It’s a paid service that is available in different packages but this is also available for a 12-month free trial.

The proper definition of AWS from the AWS’s website is that "Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a secure cloud services platform, offering compute power, database storage, content delivery and other functionality to help businesses scale and grow."

Amazon web services include:

  • Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud (EC2).
  • Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).
  • Amazon CloudFront.
  • Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS).
  • Amazon SimpleDB.
  • Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS).
  • Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS).
  • Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC).

Future of AWS:

What are we talking about here? The future of Amazon Web Services? The future of AWS was always bright. Because AWS holds the 69% cloud computing share globally. It won’t be wrong if we say that AWS is the market leader. Do you want to know why? Because of the following things:

  • As we know that AWS was started way early in 2006 when literally not even a single company was even thinking about cloud computing because of the risk. Therefore, AWS has a plus point here because it’s the most experienced company in this filed. And AWS is the obvious choice when people are looking for a reliable and trustworthy cloud provider.
  • Another plus point of AWS is the idea of flexible pricing. Today, we can see that all the cloud computing companies are providing the pay-as-you-go service. But AWS was the company that was created on this idea. We can say that now a day every cloud provider is the copy of AWS.
  • AWS is the subsidiary of Amazon Inc. which is also a giant in e-commerce. Here, the fact is that AWS is hosting the e-commerce applications of its parent organization (Amazon Inc.) which is giving the people a "trust" feeling on their cloud product.
  • The future of AWS is bright because the AWS server capacity is 6 times than the server capacity of all the competitors combined.

AWS tools:

There are three primary AWS tools; SDKs, IDE Toolkits, and Command Line Tools that are used for developing and managing AWS applications.

1 SDK’s:

Simplify your applications using AWS service with an API tailored to your programming language or platform.

  • Java.
  • Net.
  • Node.js.
  • PHP.
  • Python.
  • Ruby.

2 IDE Toolkits:

Speed your AWS development with specialized cloud tools integrated into your development environment. Software that can be used are:

  • Eclipse.
  • Visual Studio.

3 Command line tools:

Now you can control your AWS services from the command line and automate service management with scripts. For this purpose, you can use:

  • AWS command line interface.
  • Windows PowerShell.

AWS certification, training, and tutorials:

If you are interested in AWS certification, then the first website you should visit is the AWS’s official website. Because they are offering a specialization to their customers and clients. There are also a lot of educational websites that are offering AWS certification just like; coursera.com, edex.com, and Udemy.com. You can also find the training lectures and tutorials on the internet and on YouTube.

If you want to know more about AWS in detail and want to read the AWS interview questions and answers, you can visit trainingsWall.com.
