Packaging design plays the most significant role in attracting customers towards your product. Packaging is the only factor to judge the product as the customer can't taste or try the product. But the package is never really judged only for its looks but also for its quality. When it comes to food packaging, you need to be extra careful as it is directly related to wellbeing of customers.

  1. Be clear: even though creative and fun designs are known to attract customers, many a time it is a simple and clear packaging that takes away the deal. When it comes to food items, customers are concerned about what they are consuming so they are most likely to check the product's label for ingredients and nutritional advice. Design a package with fonts and colors that complement the nutritional information you provide. The font should be large enough for customers to read the nutritional information without making any efforts. Avoid any images that are not related to the product inside.

  1. Be sustainable: today's customer is more ethical hence it is easy to attract such customer base with sustainable packaging. The thought that the package won't contribute to global waste and environmental issues gives moral satisfaction to the customers. Select the material which can be recycled for package design.

  1. Color: the color of the packaging affects the customer decision. You should think which color will appeal to your target audience. The color of the package should also be in accordance with the product inside. For example, for organic products packaging should be in green, yellow and similar colors which can give the feel of the organic and natural to the customer.

  1. Target audience: top packaging design agencies in India keep in mind the target customer while designing the package. If your product is aimed at kids then your packaging should be creative and engaging. It should have favorite cartoon characters or action figures of the kids. Most importantly the package design should be safe as it will be handled by kids. Similarly, package design will be different for the female audience, male customers, senior citizens, teenagers and so on. Identify your customer base and design the package accordingly.

  1. Show the product: package design which shows the product works really well for food products because customers don't know how the product tastes or smells but can at least see how it looks. If you are offering a quality product then don't afraid to show it. Clear packaging is a new trend in the market and many famous food brands are going for it.
