CBSE board exams are just round the corner and most of the students have probably realized that it is high time they started studying. Well, it is time every student appearing for board exams starts preparing now, we must say! Of all the subjects, mathematics is a subject which is found tough by most students! Reports suggest that maths is a subject because of which many students fail the board exams! If you are one among those students who find maths a very difficult subject, here are some simple Class 10 maths boardexam preparation tips that'll surely help you out. Hang in tight!

1. Theory first, Practical sums next

Many students make the common mistake of directly solving the problems in the exercise part. That is where many students get stuck! Do not ever make the mistake of not learning the theory part! Theory of mathematics has the fundamental concepts which you must be strong at in order to solve the practical problems. Once you're strong at the theory part, you'll become a pro at solving problems. So understand the concepts that are explained in the theory part first!

2. Learn maths, do not mug up the formulae

Mugging up the formulae in mathematics won't help you in any way! Maths is a subject that requires application and you can apply a concept only if you have a good grip on the subject. So don't make the mistake of mugging up formulae and expecting to solve every problem. It won't happen unless you've understood the application and the purpose of the formulae. Take help of your teachers or friends to learn the concepts. You can also refer videos that teach mathematics in a much simpler way! Grab hold of class 10 Maths board exam concepts to learn the basic concepts. Remember that there is no moving ahead without learning the concepts.

3. Practice model question papers

You'll have model question papers or sample question papers that you can solve which will give you good insights on the type of questions that'll be asked. It's also an excellent way of knowing where you stand and concentrating on the areas that you find difficult.

4. Prioritise the topics

You don't need to learn each and every subject topic under each and every chapter. Have a look at the previous year question papers and make a graph on what sort of questions are being repeatedly asked. Accordingly, prioritise the topics and schedule your time table accordingly. Study according to the priority of the concept. This will also provide you an opportunity to focus more on the topics that are of high priority thus increasing your chances of scoring well!

5. Prepare a systematic time table and stick to it

Since maths is a practical subject, you can practice it everyday for at least 2 to 3 hours and you can include it in your time table before and after a pure theory subject like social science. This will prevent you from being bored while also solving many maths sums!
