Is essay writing an unnerving task for you? You do not like to write an essay again and again; however, your teacher frequently assigns you the task to write an essay. Essay writing is not a difficult task if you realize how it is done. There are only three things in an essay that makes its structure. Those three things are introduction, body, and conclusion. Here is how you should deal with 3 parts of an essay structure:
Part #1: Introduction
The first and the most important part of an essay is introduction. You must engage or hook readers through introduction of an essay. You can utilize a question or direct quote or joke or surprising fact to introduce your essay topic; it will help you hook readers with your essay. You should also provide background information about the topic in the introduction; however, your background information should be interesting for readers. Last sentence of your introduction is usually the thesis statement. Thesis statement will give your readers the idea about your essay topic, and it should also be interesting.
Part #2: Body
You can call your body paragraphs the backbone of your essay. If your body fails to engage readers, then it is almost impossible that your readers will like to read your essay. Usually, there are 2 to 5 paragraphs in an essay’s body. First sentence of your body paragraph is the topic sentence; the topic sentence will give readers the clue about what the paragraph is about. Supporting sentences should support the topic sentences. Your topic sentences and supporting sentences should also be captivating. You can give evidences or examples in the body paragraphs of your essay to support your point of view. All of your body paragraphs should be written in the same format.
Part #3: Conclusion
Conclusion is also a vital part of essay writing, because this part concludes what the essay topic is all about. Your conclusion should be written in a way that convince readers. You will be required to rewrite your thesis statement in conclusive part of your essay. In short, good conclusion is one that convinces readers.
