RIMC Entrance Exam coaching in Chandigarh

The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is a public school for boys situated in Dehradun in India. The RIMC is a feeder institution for the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and subsequently the Indian Armed Forces. Rimcollians, the name by which alumni of the RIMC are usually denoted, have gone on to hold the highest ranks in the Army, Navy and the Air Force of India.

RIMC Eligibility Criteria:

Entry Age:

Candidates (boys only) appearing for the above test should not be less than 11 1/2 years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 01st January 2019, i.e. they should have been born not earlier than 02nd January 2006 and not later than 01st June 2007

Educational Qualifications:

Admissions are created to Class VIII only. The Candidate must be studying in Class VII or higher than in a recognized school at the time of joining.

RIMC Entrance Exam Pattern:

RIMC Entrance Exam Pattern consists of Written Exam followed by Vica-Voca and Medical Examination.

Written Exam:

The Written part of the examination will consist of three papers.

English 125

Mathematics 200

General Knowledge 75

Viva-voce:

The interview will be of 50 marks and held of only those candidates who qualify the written exam. Intelligence and personality of the candidates will be tested in the interview.

Medical Examination:

The Candidates finally selected after viva –voca will undergo a medical examination at military hospitals and only those candidates found medically fit will be considered for the selection and admission to the RIMC. The medical examination of the candidates form only a part of the system of selection and does not imply the final selection.

RIMC Exam Syllabus:

The curriculum followed by the Rashtriya Indian Military College for setting up the question paper is similar to the curriculum followed by CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board or any other equivalent board. The level of the question paper will be set to the level of topic studied in Class VII. The following topics will be covered in the entrance exam: English, Mathematics, General Knowledge.
