If you're making money from online then I am sure, you'll be aware of the term 'Google Webmaster'. It is a free toolset provided by Google that helps you to track your website performance on the Google Search Engine.

Google recently announced a new 'Google Search Console' for all verified users. Initially, the beta version was launched for few selected users but now it is available for everyone. This new search console will work side by side with old classic search console.

If you had not created the Google Search Console account then click here to create it now.

Once log-in to your console account, select 'New Search Console' option for the left navigational menu. Refer below-attached image, if you don't find such option in your account.

Next, in this article, we will share a 'Complete Guide on New Google Search Console' in the easiest language.

Google Search Console

Google has rolled out this new search console to bring more transparency in tracking the website performance. This new features ability to share critical issues that surface in (most) reports with multiple team members in an organization.

Unlike old classic Search Console, now you will have a detailed analysis of your website performance on Google Search Engine. More on this below.

Search Performance report:

Google new Search Performance report is fairly similar to Google Search Analytical. Almost all the data that are available in the analytical account is available in this report. This report lets you see clicks, impressions, CTR and average position of your website.

You can filter or compare your data by Web, Image, and Video. For more specific, select the date range as per your requirement.

Next, just below the performance graph, you will find the detailed information on your website performance. At this place, you will find the details like Queries, Countries, Page, Devices and Search Appearance for the selected date range.

Page Index Coverage

The Index Coverage feature of new Search Console is more advanced than the old Classic One. It helps to get more insightful information and activity reports of their content indexing. Unlike old classic report, it not only shows the indexing status but also provides web page information.

In the classic account, it only tells how many web pages are currently indexed by the Google Search Engine. But now using new search console, you will find the webpage name and URL also.

In the above image, you will observe that currently 287 web pages are indexed by the Google Search Engine.

But do you know, Which are those 287 pages?

Yes, Google does not share this information with the webmaster. There is no option to find this information in the old classic webmaster account. But now this is possible. In new search console, you can find this information.

Similarly, you can also find the detailed information about your web pages submitted through the sitemap. Now, you can easily find out the list of web pages indexed by the Google Search Engine.

Submit Sitemap

You can easily add the sitemap to search console by mentioning the URL address of the sitemap location.

Once submitted, you will find the detailed status at the same place, just beneath the submission option.

Coming Soon Features

The new Google Search Console is currently under beta testing and many more new features are on the way. For example, AMP Status, Job Posting etc. are the coming soon features of the Google Search Console.

Next, if you want to request any new feature then you can do the same through 'Submit Feedback' option.

To submit feedback, login to your new search console and select 'Submit Feedback' option from the left navigational menu.

Comparision of Old v/s New Search Console

The new Search Console is still under beta testing, but based on the features available if you want to draw a comparision then it will be as below.

  • In old Classic Search Console, there is no such report called 'Performance', whereas in new Search Console, there is a performance report like Google Analytic,
  • In old Classic Search Console, only Indexing Status is available, whereas in new Search Console, detailed information about webpages is also available.
  • Old Classic Search Console doesnot share the webpages wise information for the submitted sitemap, whereas the new Search Console provides webpages wise information. The new Search Console shows you which are the web pages indexed by the Google and not?

Now your turn. If you are using this new Search Console then please share your feedback with us. Please let us know, which one you like the most? You can share your feedback in the below comment box.

Further, if you face any problem in finding or using googlenew search console then let us know through commenting. Please share your problem in the below comment box. We will try to resolve it.
