Google Search Console and Their Benefits

What is Google Search Console:

Google search console is a software tool, offered by Google as a free of cost service for each and every one. By using this tool to monitor your website and optimize organic results, crawl issues, sitemaps, mobile usability, and backlinks.

It’s the leading edge tool wide utilized by associate exponentially diversifying cluster of Marketing professionals, website designers, app developers, SEO specialists, and business entrepreneurs.

Google webmaster tool is also called a Google search console. Before all are calling Google webmaster tools now Google has changed the Google webmaster tool to Google search console. It is a free software tool by using these tools you can to manage your website of the technical part. For managing the technical part first, you need to add your website and verify ownership on Google search console.

How to Step-up Google search console:1. Add Website in Google search console:Sign In to your Google account

Before going to add your website in search console first, you should log in to your Google account, without login for Google can’t possibly enter in Search console.

If you don’t have a Gmail account with your company name, go to Google Account and create account with your company details.

This Google account is access to you for all Google application, no need to create an account again for each application. You can use the same Google account for all G-applications.

Add property:

After sign in to your company Gmail account, then go to Google search console.

Select a property type and enter your website address then click continue.

2.Verify your website in Google search console:Recommended Verification method:

Now you need to verify ownership by using the recommended verification method. In this method, you have to verify your website by using an HTML file. First, you have downloaded the verification file then after that file to upload on your website by using an FTP client (or) C Panel file manager. After uploading your verification file then again come back to Google search console and complete your verification process by using the verify button.

Alternate verification methods:

If you are feeling any difficulty to verify your website by using an HTML file, then go to alternate verification methods.

There are 4 types of alternate verification methods are there:-

  1. HTML Tag.
  2. Google Analytics.
  3. Google Tag Manager.
  4. Domain name provider.
Method 1: HTML tag

I recommend everyone to complete your website verification by using the HTML tag, why because this is the easiest way to verify your website. Now select HTML tag and it will show Meta tag and copy the Meta tag and paste it into your website.

Go to the website then click on setting>header and footer and paste HTML tag in the header box, don’t paste body section and footer section be careful when you are adding a code and click save changes.

Then again come back to the Google search console and click on the verify button. If the HTML tag verification method failed then try to another alternate verification method (or) visit to Google search console help, and find out where you have done a mistake and re-correct it then completed your verification process.

Method 2: Google Analytics

If your website already uses Google analytics then it’s easy for you to verify ownership. But before verify go to your website and check whether your Google Analytics tracking code is there or not within the section.

Once you have confirmed your Google analytics tracking code is already added in your website section of your website then come back to Google search console.

Once you come back to the Google search console then go to the alternate method.

  1. Select Google analytics.
  2. Click verify button

If your verification ownership is completed successfully, then you need to continue. If your verification ownership is not completed, then try to verify by using another verification method (or) Go to Google search console help option.

Method 3: Google Tag Manager

In this method, you can verify your ownership by using the google tag manager. Go to the Google tag manager and create an account in the tag manager.

You must have the view, edit, and manage permission in Google tag manager then Tag manager given one container ID for you.

Copy the javascript code then go to your website and paste at the starting of the section on every page of your website. Don’t add code somewhere like the middle and last of the section of your website. You must be placed at the starting of your section only and replacing ‘GTM– XXXX’ with your container ID.

And also copy the snippet code and again go to your website and paste in section on every page of your website and this code also you must be added in the starting of your section, here also you have to replacing GTM-XXXX with your container ID.

After added both java and snippet codes, don’t forget to save the code in the head and body section.

Once you’re added tracking code in your website, then you can verify your ownership with just a single click. Come back to the Google Search Console and click on the verify button thus all your website verification is completed.

Method 4: Domain Name provider

By using DNS provider you have to verify your ownership in this method.

In this method, no need to add any code in your website, why because there is no code involved for this method only the TXT record for this domain.

Step 1:

Go to the alternate method and select domain name provider then copy TXT record then go your domain name provider.

Step 2:

Once login to your domain name provider then go to my products and select which domain you want to verify ownership then click on DNS.

Step 3:

Once click on DNS you will get DNS record, here must be select TXT type then paste the TXT record in the content box and finally "Add DNS record". And again come back to Google search console and click on verify button.

Verify ownership by using the WordPress Plugin:

In the WordPress website, the Yoast SEO plugin is widely acknowledged. It is a wonderful SEO plugin for WordPress websites.

First, activate the Yoast SEO plugin. Open the Google Search Console verification page, after go to the "Alternate methods" and select the HTML tag.

Once you click on the HTML tag, it will show a tag that doesn’t select a total tag. Copy the only verification code. Why because to verify your website using the Yoast SEO plugin, you should paste the only code on your website. No need to paste the total Meta tag code.

Now go to your WordPress website and click on Yoast SEO Plugin in the dashboard, once you click on it will show three options on your screen in that three options select webmaster tools tab. The window will display all webmaster tools verifications like Baidu, Bing, Google, and Yandex verification code. Select Google verification code and paste it verification content code and click on save changes.

Again come back to Google Search Console and verify your website ownership. Make sure your verification could be a success, now you’re currently able to use Google Search Console on your WordPress website.

Benefits of Google Search Console:1. Common keywords people use to find you.

By using Google search console you get to know which keywords searching users are to finds your website through organic search.

Search console will show a number of clicks per each keyword get and the number of impressions for each keyword, and also you can view the average CTR and which position your website is coming in Google search results.

This info shows you if you’re with success attracting a user to your content supported the keywords targeted in your SEO strategy. And it’ll reveal any keywords user notice you that means you are not targeting all keywords.

2. Find your most popular page:

Every website will have so many pages are there, you don’t know which page performs better in the search engine than other pages. By using Google search console you can identify which page is giving more traffic to your website.

In the above image, you can see a list of all pages' performance in descending order of popularity. The most popular pages at the top of results and by default it will come clicks and impressions. Here you can see which page performs best in terms of CTR ((clicks/impressions)*100) and average position in search results.

3. Check where your visitors are coming from:

If your business services a selected part of the globe, Google Search Console will show you results in which place your visitors are coming.

These results will show you can make sure you’re reaching the right people are not.

This also in the same performance section, here you select countries in the menu bar. You’ll see numbers of clicks are getting from each country and from which you’re getting more clicks and also you can view the results on impressions, click-through rate, and average position in search results.

4. Check your website works well on mobile-friendly:

By using Google search console you can check your website is good in mobile-friendly are not. In the enhancement section on the left-side menu, select mobile usability. Here you can check your website has any issues in mobile-friendly or all webpages are valid.

If google search console identifies any error or warning on your website. Then it will show all error messages like image size smaller than the recommended size, Script tag missing. Once you know where you did wrong then re-correct all errors and warnings.

5. Check for broken links:

The broken links provide a bad experience to your visitor and it will affect on your ranking also. Any crawl issues and penalties have occurred on your website Google search console will show you all broken links and crawl issues, then after you can re-correct all crawl issues.

If you click on each link then you can find what is the exact problem on that link, and where this link on your website. This is the most valuable information by using this information to improve your website quality.

6. Check which site link to your website:

For all are focusing on backlinks, because backlinks are like a backbone to your website ranking. If your website has more backlinks then automatically traffic will come to your website. And at the same time your website Domain authority and page authority will increase.

By using Google search console you can see a list of all linked websites to your website. You can also see all internal and external links to your website, you can find more information on each link by clicking on the link. You can see specific information like which website has to come to your website.
