Are you an Indian or Pakistani Food Lover? Then there is a delicious recipe which contains a very significant place in Asian countries. You are familiar with Chicken Tikka an Indian recipe. This is a most famous chicken Dish with spicy ingredients. Chicken Tikka is a delicious dish originated in mostly Punjab regions. It is traditionally cooked with boneless chicken on a local angeethi. The world chicken tikka has its own significant it comprises of two different words Chicken (meat, mutton, chicken) pieces and Tikka means "Bits".

In Kashmir, it is served with red-hot coals and does not contain boneless chicken pieces. When cooking this chicken on angeethi, their pieces are brushed with ghee at the interval to increase its taste. We need a handmade fan or electric small fan to cook chicken tikka. It generally served with green coriander and different chutney etc.

There are different types of chicken tikka like tikka sizzler, tikka masala etc. Chicken tikka sizzler is served on a heated plate with onions. This dish is also very popular in Afganistan, Turkey and in Arab countries. In early days this dish was known as chicken Makhan-walla (Butter). When it comes to Britain rule, this dish renamed as Chicken Tikka Masala.

Ingredients and Quantity to make Easy Chicken Tikka Recipe

Chicken pieces 2kg

Yogurt 1/2kg

Cooking Oil 1 ½ cup

Red chili 2tbs

Spices 1tbs

Food color Yellow 1/2tsp

Chicken Tandoori Masala (Optional)

Powder Red chili 1/2tsp

Salt 1tbs

Ginger 1tbs

Traditional Garlic 1tbs

Cumin 1tbs

Black pepper crushed 1/2tsp

Green chili 1 ½tbs

Green coriander paste 1 ½tbs

Vinegar 3tbs

Chili sauce 1 ½tbs

Method

  • Add garlic paste, yogurt and ginger in the bowl
  • Add crushed spices salt, chili, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Crushed Chili, Cumin and optional spices in the bowl and mix well
  • Put Chili Sauce, oil, food color(optional, green chili and Coriander in the bowl and mix well
  • Mix well all above ingredients and add chicken pieces to the bowl and mix well put them in the fridge.
  • Cut onion into rings and soak in vinegar and serve with cooked Tikka
