7.Confirm Device Manager recognize Brother printer

Windows Vista – Go to Start> Control Panel> System & Maintenance> System. Then tap on Device Manager from the left side.

Windows XP - Click on Start> Control Panel> System & Maintenance> System> Hardware> Device Manager.

Windows 7 - Go to Start> Control Panel> Hardware & Sound and then click on Device Manager button under Devices & Printers section.

Windows 8/ Windows 10 – Open Control Panel and then tap on Hardware & Sound. Then move to Drivers and Printers section and then tap on Device Manager.

  1. On Device Manager window, click on View and then tap on "Show Hidden Devices".
  2. Click on the Triangular mark that is displaying next to Printers.
  3. If your Brother printer is listed there then you should understand that Device Manager has recognized your Brother printer correctly.
