Enjoy Miami Holidays by Exploring Its Popular Places
Posted: May 03, 2018
Miami, a port city located in the south-eastern part of the United States of America (USA), is a beautiful port city with charming beaches and fascinating art-deco buildings. It has one of the tallest skylines in the USA with the presence of more than 300 skyscrapers. Considering its excellent air quality, plenty of green spaces, brilliant recycling programs, and the availability of clean drinking water, the city was ranked ‘America’s Cleanest City’ by Forbes magazine in 2008. You’ll also get to experience a fantastic nightlife in the city with several rooftop bars, stylish dance halls, and candle-lit lounges.
From the month of December to February, the city experiences its winter season. You’ll have to book your Miami holidays well in advance as this season attracts a large number of tourists. Spring from March to May is the best time to visit the city. If you’re looking forward to enjoying a holiday in this season and don’t want the crowds of college students around you on the beaches, visit in late April or the early part of May. Summer from June to August is also a popular time for families to visit Miami. Although there are possibilities of hurricanes, autumn from September to November can fetch you some great deals on hotel accommodations if you plan to visit during this time of the year.
Your Miami holidays would never be considered complete without a visit to the Miami Beach. It is located on an island and is connected by bridges to the mainland. The entire area of Miami Beach is full of lively entertainment options, long stretches of sandy beaches, and some serene neighbourhoods. A popular place to explore in this part of Miami is the Ocean Drive, which is home to majestic Art Deco buildings. Other interesting places worth visiting are South Beach and the Art Deco Historic District.
During your cheap Miami holidays, you’ll also get the chance to explore the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. It was constructed in the early 20th century and was the winter home of James Deering, a 20th-century industrialist. This building has been built in the Italian Renaissance style of architecture. In order to ensure authenticity in design, more than a thousand craftsmen and workers were brought from Europe. While exploring this historic landmark, you’ll come across some interesting sculptures, Italian and French fountains, and pools. The building, which is now a museum, has a good collection of European artefacts.
Everglades National Park is another exciting attraction you can visit during your time spent in the city. It is just a short drive away from Miami and contains swamplands spread across an area of about 1.5 million acres. The national park offers protection to the unique natural features of Florida and is home to different kinds of wild animals and birds. You can enjoy a tour of this national park on high-speed airboats and watch the alligators and other wild animals in action. You’ll have to book any of such tours with the local operators based outside the park.
