When you are a foreign national, it feels amazing to date an Indian man. You may go to places with him, the best of which will be his home. No, you don’t have to dance around the trees to date him, you can rather do better things to have a great time with him. And love marriage is more acceptable in India than most foreigners think. You will enjoy having a great time in the country when you are in love with the man and his home.

A drive date

Frankly, you might need to drop the idea of a romantic drive with your better half. In India, the families love to engage with the new member in their family, so they want to spend as much time as possible with you. The new daughter-in-law in the family, even if you are not married, is given a lot of love and affection because of which, even you may like to take the family or at least your new siblings on your long drive. However, you will also get your personal time with your spouse for a great drive where you can talk your heart out while holding hands with each other.

The famous art of jugaad

You must have heard about life hacks in your country, but here in India, we call it jugaad. When you are on the road, and something goes wrong with the car, you will find your man indulging in life hacks as his first resort rather than calling a mechanic to fix the issue. If the AC stops working, for example, your spouse would like to know the issue himself, try to handle it on his own, probably insert a tissue or a twig from the road to curb the noise, and do every unimaginable thing to fix the AC. Using a few bricks to replace the flat tire is a common sight in every city in India; your husband may be a pro at doing this as well. Using a Jack is so outdated, you know!

Street shopping

Negotiating for prices is not difficult in India, every Indian is a pro at it, and so must be your partner. While driving, you may want to indulge in some window shopping or street shopping in your city. Else, when you come to the metropolitans of the country, you will find an assortment of street markets where you can shop to your heart’s content without spending a fortune. Clothes, kitchen accessories, and many other things are there in the provisional and permanent markets. You just keep busy in choosing the best stuff you would like to take home, and let your spouse do the haggling. Even though the shopkeeper may not lower the price by more than a rupee, any Indian would feel proud of achieving this feat as well! You will find all this quite amusing, but haggling is the way of life in India. People will sometimes negotiate just for the sake of it for something that is already at the lowest price possible.

Even though it is not possible to negotiate for the price of a Car Rental, your partner may even do that if he is determined enough, or he may try to find the best deal possible. Haggling is in the blood of Indians; they would ask the price of a thing before they decide whether they like it or not. Nevertheless, you can expect mounds of love and affection from your Indian partner and his family whenever you come to his hometown.
