Credit cards are the best thing to use when you are out for a vacation as compared to a debit card. However, you have to intimate your credit card company about your lost card, which is why you must carry the contact information of your vendor along with the copy of your card. Some credit card companies also provide insurance for the purchases made from their cards, though this service is available only in a few countries.
