Holiday with a wild side to it

Jim Corbett, a beautiful national park, forested in the state of Uttarakhand, initially established to protect and preserve the dear tigers of our country. It is said that it was the first ever national park of our country. It has maintained itself really well since ages. To be more precise, since 1936. I heard a passing rumour in my office, that an office trip was soon to be planned. At the same time, I was randomly reading about Jim Corbett National Park on the net. I couldn’t wait but imagine myself at the Jim Corbett National Park. I initiatively went to my senior and asked her first about the trip. She replied affirmatively. Then I gathered my courage to suggest her if the office could go to Jim Corbett National Park for the trip. She actually liked my idea and showed me a green flag to go ahead and help with all the booking and arrangements for the same.

For the time being, I was the happiest person. I couldn’t believe that a place where I just randomly wished to go to, is actually happening and I am going go there for sure.

The travel agent booked our train tickets, that was from Delhi to Ramnagar. From Ramnagar, we were supposed to go on a bus to Jim Corbett National Park, which is hardly 12-13kms away from the Ramnagar railway station.

I have always been very particular about the hotel stays, no matter wherever I go or with whomever I go; I want to hit the sack in a nice hotel room. As I had partly taken the responsibility of this office trip, it was my thing to look out for the hotels in Corbett. I wanted a hotel that could take care of a few things that I had in my mind. Like, a hotel which could be near the river Kosi, with decent rooms. A hotel that could take care of our jungle safaris. We wouldn’t mind a spa session after a long day with Jungle safari. Plus, if the hotel staff could arrange a bonfire for all of us, for a night; along with the food to relish.

I realised that I had made a dream list for an office trip. But after a few website searches, I did find the dream hotel for the trip. It was one of the best resorts in Jim Corbett near river. The resort really made our trip successful and completely full of joyous moments. Everybody appreciated my choice of resort. The jungle safari organised by the resort was fantastic. The bonfire turned out to be a gala of music, frolic and fun. The office trip was a full success, which made me gain a bit popularity among the colleagues of my office.
