It’s that time of year again! The American flag is waving downtown and from front porches, fireworks are on sale, and family vacation plans are in full swing. If you have a miniature garden, you may be making plans for your garden, including a Fourth of July theme or other summery details that fit in with the trifecta of patriotic summer holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, and July 4th! Now is a great time to find that red, white, and blue, fire up the grill, and make your fairy garden a splish-splashing, flag-waving, ice cream-eating destination.

A backyard party is part of the all-American summer experience. Why not bring that flavor to your miniature garden? Begin with a two-piece set of Garden Grills, which will get your garden fairies ready for all sorts of delicious, seasonal meals. The barbeques bright, cheery colors and fun shapes will brighten up the fairy garden. The Rustic Grill, in a dark charcoal color, is a solid choice for any garden with a more natural or rustic theme. No Fourth of July celebration is complete without some delicious eats! Add freshness to that grilled meal with Watermelon and Slices. When that July sun beats down, you will need to help your miniature fairies cool down. Ice Bucket with Drinks will do the trick. Want to make your own icy display? Fill the Barnwood Flag Crate or Round Tub with cool-looking Fairy Ice Cubes, and then add some cans or bottles of your favorite miniature drinks. The fairies and animals in your miniature garden will thank you, I promise.

When you think about setting up your Fourth of July-themed miniature garden, be sure to consider the location. Will it be an indoor container garden or an outdoor miniscape? If you are going to incorporate fairies or other little friends into your garden, you may want to include a water element, as July is the ideal month for cooling off in a stream, pond, or swimming pool. Miniature accessories such as picnic tables, chairs, and gingham tablecloths will add to the party atmosphere if you are picturing an outdoor barbeque.

Ready to decorate a fairy garden? Patriotic Flags, strung across a path, in front of fairy houses, or at the entrance to your miniature garden, add just the right amount of dedicated flair. For a bit of an Americana folk art appearance, try the Stars and Stripes Flag Pick. Gather the best of summery, red and blue accessories to help decorate your barbeque. A Little Red Wagon and Mini Bicycle will inspire active fun for your fairies, while Miniature Flip Flops and Sunglasses will suit the Fourth of July fashion needs in your fairy garden.

Of course, everyone’s favorite part of the holiday comes after dark, when the sky lights up with brilliant fireworks. You can get your miniature garden in on the nighttime fun, too. Consider adding a few LED Light Strings to your fairy garden. These battery-operated lights come in red, white, and blue. Collect all three to create a brightly lit, patriotic paradise.

These accessories and additions, coupled with your plants, plans, and miniature friends, will surely help you plant a patriotic scene that will make this July the best one yet!
