Rudyard Kipling’s "The Jungle Book" derived its inspiration from the lush bamboo and sal forests, ravines and lush green meadows of Kanha. Formed in 1955, the Kanha National Park is located in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh and became the center of the Kanha Tiger Reserve. Today, the national park receives visitors from all across the world for one of the best Indian Adventure tours. The varied wildlife is one of the biggest attractions of Kanha.

The Sunset Point or Bamni Dadar is one of the most striking locations in the park. Here you can come across a spectacular sunset and the dense richness of the forests. Then, there is the unsurpassed wildlife of Kanha, including the sambar, the barah singha, gaur, antelope, and the barking deer; you could get a glimpse of all of them from this spot.

Kanha is home to almost two dozen mammal species. The most spotted ones are blackbuck, sambar, barah singha, chital, jackal, striped palm squirrel, wild pig, and common langur. If you are lucky, you may also come across a tiger, Indian wild dog (dhole), Indian bison, Indian hare or a barking deer.
