Holiday is one of your greatest opportunities to escape the monotonous routines of life and explore a new destination far from home. It is, therefore, necessary that the entire experience be pleasant and free of any worries. For most of the holidaymakers, it is the limited budget that becomes a cause of concern while planning their holidays. However, if they’re willing to be a bit flexible in terms of destinations, there are some truly interesting places that not only have some unique experiences in store for them but also a significant amount in savings. Some of these destinations are listed below:

1. Algarve

This fascinating region in continental Portugal has become a favourite of many tourists in recent times owing to its gorgeous cliffs, beaches, islands and bays. Some of the travel companies would be truly forthcoming in offering some attractive low cost holiday deals to this particular destination if you book several months in advance. Owing to its peaceful surroundings, this travel destination was mentioned as the best place to retire in the world in a study conducted by an American organisation. You’ll also feel delighted while holidaying in this Portuguese region owing to its mild and pleasant climate.

2. Dubrovnik

A Croatian city located on the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik is considered to be among the top Mediterranean tourist destinations. It gives you the chance to enjoy low cost travel as it is one of the most budget-friendly places to visit. A walk through the city’s limestone streets would allow you to witness some fantastic baroque buildings and ancient city walls. You can also get to explore some old and marvellous structures, such as the St Saviour Church, St Blaise’s Church, and the 102-feet-tall bell tower. Dubrovnik has also been used as a filming location for some popular films and television series, such as the Game of Thrones and Robin Hood.

3. Agadir

You can enjoy plenty of sunshine with a holiday spent in this Moroccan city, as it offers 300 sunny days annually for its visitors. It is yet another charming destination for those seeking low cost holidays and is also a great place to savour some unique cultural experiences. You can buy some fabulous items like crafts, clothing, and spices while exploring the Souk El Had. Agadir has undergone some great developments over the years, which makes it hard to believe that it was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake that hit the city in 1960.

4. Valletta

Located in the central-eastern part of the main island of Malta, this city is the country’s capital and attracts plenty of tourists every year with its old buildings that were built during the times when the region was ruled by the Order of St. John. It was recognised officially by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in the year 1980. The city hosts zestful celebrations during the major events, such as the Maltese Carnival held in February and the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel held in the month of July.
