The internet and social media are the collective culprits in making people unhappy and dissatisfied with their lives. You don’t need an enemy these days to feel doomed; your friends’ pictures are enough to make you feel hopeless about your life. However, the above words are true only when you feel jealous of others. People used to be envious of others earlier as well, but the intensity of jealousy has increased multifold in the past few years just because everyone is busy pretending how happy they are in life. Let us see how you can enjoy your life without comparing it with others.

Photos of vacations and weekend outings

The most common thing over all social media platforms is the happy photos of people vacationing all over the world. Every one of us wants to appear blissful when it comes to showing it off to the world, and the exact thing is happening over the net in much greater proportion than ever. We need to understand that people may not be as cheerful as they seem in photos. Everyone uploads his or her best photos online unless they are beaten every day at home, which is rarely the case. Even if someone is not content in life, he or she will never make it public. However, they will make every little travel significant by uploading the pictures online, which is more of self-appeasement through the number of likes they get. Do not fall into this trap of comparing your travel life with others just because people seem to travel ten times a year. Every person is different with their failures and successes. Count your achievements and blessings.

The budget

Different families have their budgets for travel. While going to Miami may be just a regular thing for you, it may be a luxury for others. When hiring a Mumbai to Goa Car Rental Self Drive may be just a regular thing for someone, it may seem to be a distant dream for you. Budget plays a significant role when it comes to going for a vacation. When you see a couple having fun abroad, you never know who funded their vacation, or they may have split the cost among themselves. It is easy to see others having fun, but you never know where their money comes from.

Some people save for a year to have a vacation abroad, and the others just have to ask their family to fund a world-tour for them.

The fakeness

You may see the photos of people in fancy hotels, but it does not mean that they are staying or eating there. People may go to boutique hotels just for the sake of clicking pictures. Many people eat on the roadside, but post fake photos of their travels online. It is better not to rely on what you see online, and use your judgment about what may be real or fake.

Pressurizing the spouse

The grass is always greener on the other side, as the famous proverb has it. People often compare their spouse with that of others and end up spoiling their relationship. Every person is different and so is his or her conduct in life. Your partner may not show his or her love for you, but may indeed love you a lot. On the other hand, the partner of your friend may indulge in a lot of public display of affection, but may argue with his or her partner every day at home. Therefore, do not judge or pressurize your spouse to become like someone else, accompany you to exotic destinations, and lead a different life. Find bliss in what you have rather than making the unnecessary comparison.
