Exam ECSS: EC-Council Certified Security Specialist

The EC-Council offers a certification program for IT students so that they can enhance and validate their skills and knowledge. Its certification program includes a certification which measures the skills in 3 different ways. The details of this exam have been provided in this article.
Introduction:
The certification ECSS – EC-Council Certified Security Specialist checks and measures the skills and knowledge of IT, students. This exam measures the skills and knowledge of the students in three different major areas which are "Information Security, Network Security, and Computer Forensics". After passing the certification the candidates will be recognized as the "EC-Council Certified Security Specialist".
Exam Objectives:
As the ECSS exam revolves around the skills and understanding of three important area of IT security which are Information security, Network Security, and Computer Forensics, therefore, the topics and objectives of this are also based on these skills. All the knowledge on these topics is validated in this exam. The exam content is not limited few topics, hence the candidates must prepare and practice all the relevant topics and information for security systems.
This ECSS exam validates that the candidate is able to protect the information, its processing and communication preventing the threats of manipulation, exploitation, and theft. This also covers the "trustworthy authentication" of communication via messages. The core objective of this area is to validate the understanding required to identify the verification and recording of information approval and authorization. The candidates through this exam demonstrate their skills to ensure that the stored or communicated data does not get altered or repudiated.
The other two sections of this ECSS exam validate the understanding and skills to prevent the malware attacks and analysis of threats and risks. The candidates demonstrate their skills to secure the network and information without any manipulation risk.
Age Requirement to take this Exam:
The students who want to take this ECSS exam and its training course must be at the age of 18. The candidates under this age limit are not eligible for this exam or the training. The students under 18 can only take this exam or training program by providing a written consent of their parents/legal guardians to the accredited training center (ATC) or E-Council. The letter must be supported by their institution of higher education.
Training Course:
The students who want to take this Ecss must first complete the training course based on this exam. The age limit applies to this training course too. This course covers all the topics and skills measured in this exam. The course is available at EC-Council official website.
