When someone talks about offices in Mumbai, what comes to your mind? Very likely, you visualize a small space with two or three desks, paint peeling off the walls, one small washroom with barely enough space to wash your hands. But this is all changing now, with several prominent developers building luxury commercial towers in Mumbai.

Take a look at Marathon Futurex. It is a massive tower in Lower Parel with 14-foot ceilings, multiple high-speed elevators, high-end interiors and spacious offices. Quite different from your typical old cramped offices, right? The building also boasts several conference rooms for those important meetings. You’re sure to leave a great impression on any client who visits!

Another big project in Lower Parel is Indiabulls Finance Centre. It is a set of three towers housing massive office spaces. The complex includes gymnasiums, cafeterias, cutting-edge security systems, and several levels of car parking. The beautiful and modern interior design need not even be mentioned. Indiabulls Finance Centre is extremely close to both western and central railway lines. This makes it extremely easy to commute to the area.

Then there’s Lodha Supremus in Powai. The suburbs have large open spaces of land available at a lower cost than the city centre. This makes it possible to build massive commercial projects there. Lodha Supremus has office spaces between 1000-2718 square feet. Signature boutique designs and customizable spaces make for a building suited to the 21st century global professional. The project is very close to the new metro line with several premium restaurants, residences, and even the international airport in close proximity.

One of the newest luxury commercial towers is Naman Midtown in Elphinstone in South Mumbai. Office units here range from 720 to 4200 square feet. This ultra-modern building boasts of a clubhouse, a food court, a swimming pool, a gymnasium and much more. The building even harvests rainwater to reduce its impact on the environment. Naman Midtown is actually a set of twin towers, with one 21 storey tower and one 15 storey tower.

The market for commercial property in the city has drastically changed in the last three decades. From British-era buildings in Fort to the bare-bones offices of far-flung suburbs, and now to more premium offerings, the customer’s tastes have truly evolved. Now, we’re in the era of luxury commercial towers in Mumbai! Who knows what’s next?
